/in his time/ A vow that makes their story worth-reading. "It didn’t begin with fireworks or a scene from a movie – it began with a conversation, and from that moment, love didn’t strike like lightning; it grew, steady and stubborn, like roots finding their way through stone. After five months of digital sparks across pandemic, we finally decided to meet in person – and from that moment, I just knew. It wasn’t love at first sight exactly, but a strange, beautiful familiarity, like, ‘Oh hello, it’s you. It’s always going to be you. I met you around 2020, and honestly, if you had met me five years earlier… ufff. I was a mess. And if it had been five years later, maybe the moment would have passed us. But we found each other exactly when we are meant to. Our timing wasn’t just good – it was perfect. Like Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “He has made everything beautiful in His time” . You are that beautiful thing – brought to me at the right time, in the right way. Bud, over these last five years, you’ve grown so beautifully. I could write a list starting from your silky hair to your bright smile, and that you are always the muse in every love song I hear but sadly, we don’t have much time so.. I’ll choose to highlight one thing and that’s your heart. The way you love others is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Your heart truly breaks for others that are mourning. And just by your presence alone you have revived things in me that I didn’t even know were dead. Now the nervousness of it all finally set in for me when I realised that you had me from the junk. And so here I stand, not because I figured it all out, but because you’ve been patient with my learning. Because loving you has always felt less like a task and more like coming home. I cannot promise you perfection but I am promising you that I will care about everything. The good things, bad things, terrible things, ordinary things.. all of it, all the time, every day. Your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice it. Your life will not go un- witnessed because I will be your witness. Today, before God, our friends and families, I don’t just say YES to forever – I say yes to you, in every version, in every season, for all that’s to come.” To Francis and Kaye, congrats! God was never late and he was writing your love story behind the scene! Because love, in His time, is always right on time.
